High protein foodsProtein is a nutrient made up of amino acids, which is necessary for proper growth and functioning of the human body.   • Meat, poultry, beef, chicken, lamb and pork are high protein foods. To get the most pure protein is better to choose lean meat. Beef contains about 36 gram of protein per 100 g serving. Chicken, lamb and pork contain 30-33 g protein per 100 grams. Choose a clean, lean meat. Do not eat fried or smoked products.
  • Fish and caviar are  high protein foods too. Fish is a very healthy food. It is recommended to eat fish at least once a week. It is a great source of protein. Depending on the type,  fish contains about 26-30 g per portion.
  • Cheese is also one of the high protein foods.
  • Beans and legumes are great source of high protein foods . The older, larger and more mature beans, the more protein you get with it. Beans and legumes are high in fiber, calcium and iron, they are one of the best sources of amino acids, which are so necessary for the human body. You can include beans and lentils to soups and salads. They are delicious and very healthy.
  • Roasted pumpkin, pumpkin seeds and watermelon seeds are foods high in protein too. Pumpkin and pumpkin seeds provide about 33 gram of protein per 100 g.
  • Lentils, beans and peanuts. They are a great source of vegetable protein, the lens provide the most – about 25.8 g per portion, and peanuts – 23.7g.
  • Other foods rich in protein are nuts, seeds, soy, tofu, quinoa.

Protein-rich foods are good sources of B vitamins, iron and zinc.
